Morningstar Senior Living is an integrated developer, owner, and operator of premier retirement communities in the United States. It was founded in 2003 by Ken Jaeger in Denver, Colorado. Today, the company has 20+ properties in ten states across the western United States.

Independent Living

Independent Living offers a refreshing change of lifestyle, including built-in companionship, predictable budgeting, entertaining activities, and tasty meals. It is designed for seniors to enjoy a stress-free living. 

Through this program, MorningStar handles all the maintenance, inside and out of the residences, and offers weekly housekeeping. 

All independent living suites include a washer/dryer and fully-equipped kitchens. And if needed, the staff is prepared to arrange for home health agencies to serve residents (if the need arises.)

Assisted Living

MorningStar offers Assisted Living neighborhoods with varying levels of support. Based on an initial assessment conducted by the agency’s Wellness Director, the experienced staff will develop a program to assist each individual and carry out activities and treatment as ordered. 

Assisted Living services include, but are not limited to, grooming, light housekeeping, laundry, mobility, medication management, leisure activities, and more. 

 In all cases, around-the-clock Care Managers are on-site and ready to ensure all seniors’ safety and health. 

Memory Care

MorningStar offers memory care support to memory-impaired seniors living with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, or other cognitive diseases (and their families.) The skilled professionals are trained to support patients throughout their day and supervise/monitor all activities to ensure their safety. 

Day Program/Short-term Stays

The agency also offers a day program in their communities where seniors can enjoy:

  • A full day or half-day
  • Special meals
  • Various life-enriching activities ranging from yoga classes to music lessons
  • The companionship of other elderly citizens 

Additionally, Morningstar offers short-term stays (30 days or less) for those times when a senior’s regular caregiver needs a break. These respite stays are also ideal for those recovering from surgery or a significant injury.
