Utopia provides services 24 hours a day, seven days a week (including holidays.) Depending on the needs, Utopia Home Care offers four levels of Aide care services:
Personal Care Aides (PCA’s)
Personal Care Aides individuals with the most basic needs of care, commonly or routine tasks that every person requires, but some may need assistance completing.
PCAs will assist with personal care, incontinence care,
medication reminders, meal preparation, assistance in/out of bed, walking, transferring, positioning, and more.
Home Health Aides (HHA’s)
Home Health Aides assist individuals with all activities of daily living, including:
- Meal preparation and feeding
- Assisting with range of motion exercises and mobility
- Toileting and bathing
- Dressing and grooming
- Medication management
- Light housekeeping (e.g., dusting, sweeping, laundry)
- And more
Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs)
Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA’s) will assist individuals with all daily activities and have additional training for clients requiring a higher level of care. These aides undergo extra hours of in-service training throughout the year and are tested periodically on their specialty care training.
Live-In Aides
Utopia Home Care’s live-in aide services are flexible to meet the needs of each client’s specific situation. They involve Aides that remain in the client’s home 24 hours a day, assisting when needed.
As with all of their staff, live-ins are bonded, insured, and undergo rigorous criminal background and driving record checks, as well as drug screenings before being placed within a client’s home.
More so, Utopia’s team includes a wide range of experienced professionals from Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, or Physical/Occupational Therapists to Home Health Aides.
It is also worth mentioning that the agency accepts a wide range of insurances, including Medicare, Medicaid, United Healthcare, Connecticare, Anthem Health Plans, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Oxford Health Plans, and other long-term care insurances.
